The Faith-Based Coalition for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria is a campaign led by The 2030 Collaborative to build a network of advocates to help uplift and save the lives of those suffering from infectious disease(s) worldwide.

Our Declaration and Commitment

As American leaders of faith, we support the lives of the most vulnerable both at home and around the world, including the millions who are suffering from preventable, treatable diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.

We know that U.S. support for the Global Fund ensures that this special partnership of governments, faith-based organizations, civil society, and businesses will continue to grow and make an enormous impact. By a conservative estimate, the Global Fund has contributed to saving over 65 million lives in countries where it supports local projects.

Since 2002, there has been a 63% decline in the combined death rate from AIDS, TB and malaria. Those saved are now able to thrive with dignity.

U.S. investments in the Global Fund and all other global health programs are less than one-quarter of 1% of the total federal budget, and they provide significant health security and economic benefits. For example, the Global Fund has disbursed $22.6 billion in conflict zones—promoting stability, mitigating extremism and avoiding costly longer-term military interventions. U.S. investments through the Global Fund also encourage countries fighting AIDS, TB and malaria to increase their own investments in health.

To continue this kind of progress, we need congressional leadership. U.S. leadership was instrumental in the previous replenishment in 2022 and encouraged other donors to increase their contributions. Continued U.S. Leadership will rally other donors and local communities, together saving an additional 23 million lives in 2027-2029. To continue its leadership in providing a third of the Global Fund’s financing and encourage other donors to increase their investment, we ask for a U.S contribution of $2 billion a year in fiscal years 2026-2028, for a total of $6 billion over the three-year replenishment cycle.

With this investment, the United States will not only uphold a proud tradition of compassion and global leadership, it also will help ensure that no one is left behind in the fight to end the AIDS, TB, and malaria epidemics by 2030.
